Third Thursday Book Discussion: The Bluest Eye

Join us for a discussion of this month's book, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. New members always welcome! Copies may be available at the Ask Desk.

Synopsis: In 1941, Black, 11-year-old Pecola Breedlove prays for her eyes to turn blue so that she will be as beautiful and beloved as all the blond, blue-eyed children in America. Morrison’s first novel vividly evokes the fear and loneliness of a child’s yearning.

This event is part of Banned Books Week! Celebrate the freedom to read in Dane County public libraries.
