Russian Folk Music & Lore: Concert and Conversation

Come listen to the White Birch Ensemble.

This program is build upon the foundation set at a similar “after hours” humanities-based event held at Oregon Public Library last fall (The Folklore of Bluegrass Music: An evening of Music, History, and Storytelling with Sparetime). Again we will be combining musical performance with historical context while providing an evening of library entertainment and education to attract Oregon area library patrons and their families into the library including the historically elusive “non-user.” Once they are here, a variety of new related materials will be available for exploration of the topic – and for circulation.
