Get ready for the Wisconsin Film Festival's Big Screens for Little Folks films with a journey to India! Watch some short films from the Wisconsin Film Festival and celebrate the art, language, and culture of India, one of the filming locations represented.
There will be stories read in both English and Tamil, South Asia Book Award winning books to look at, and Indian music to listen to. Decorate a peacock, the National Bird of India, and learn how to write your name in Tamil or Hindi. View a sari and learn how they are draped. Get a small henna design and learn about the art of mehndi.
This drop in event is geared towards school age children and their families. Activities are offered in partnership with the Wisconsin Film Festival and UW Madison Center for South Asia and is funded in part from a grant from Beyond the Page.
